the rate of Rape, sexual molestations, promiscuity & other forms of sexual harassments related cases towards our opposite gender in recent times is quite worrisome. Please don't be too quick to tag/label me a feminist. I am rather here to share what I feel will help some of my fellow men appreciate their identity as a Man.
I discovered that what you don't value, you never appreciate; That's why abuse is inevitable.Most men actually assumed that sleeping around with different women before or outside marriage is the way to proof their manhood or measure their strength/smartness. Quite on the contrary, men who engaged in illicit and unwholesome sexual intercourse outside marriage are on the loosing side. When a man sleeps with any woman,his wife or not he is giving away not taking.
As I go further, I Will like to butteress my point using example of just two Bible characters;Judah & Samson, their are actually more like Reuben, Amnon,Solomon, David & others. But for time & space permit me to speak what sexual lust cost these two fathers of Faith .
Judah: He was one of the twelve sons of Jacob, a mighty man that has the scepter of Isreal, but suffered with sexual issues, which his daughter in law discovered & held him prey to; He left home for somewhere with no intention for sex, but couldn't help the sight of disguised prostitute as his daughter in law,with no money in his pocket to enjoy the pleasure of sin, he surrendered his staff & signet as a surety_mortgage for the amount to be paid. Little wonder did he know that " Staff" represent, God's authority, honour bestowed on any & every man ,giving the staff away was surrending his authority on the alter of fornication.
The next was his" Signet",this represent the signature of every man, better put as ones"Significance",whenever any man engaged in any form or illicit sex,he is giving away his signifance & relevance in the congregation of elders.
